Faith-Based organizations (FBOs) provide services and information within the context of their respective faith traditions. Offering faith-oriented services within or on behalf of a spiritual community allows opportunities for beliefs to be transformed into action. Often, individuals employed in these organizations identify with the same faith the organization represents.

When working with communities that practice Christian traditions, Olive Branch Consulting applies principles from The Peacemaker by Ken Sande. Leanne Harder is also a candidate to be a Certified Christian Conciliator as per the guidelines defined by Peacemaker Ministries.

Generally speaking, FBOs have several unique characteristics compared to other Non-Profit agencies, including a high frequency of personal and professional interrelationships within the organization, motivation towards spiritual outcomes, and common belief systems among employees. When conflict occurs, these characteristics can be beneficial and/or problematic.
